Hello Everyone,
We hope you are well and wonderful. Happy Halloween!

This year is quite a challenge for rescuers and needy animals. We totally understand the financial squeeze put on everyone these days. We see the dumping of family pets in streets now that shelters in so many places have stopped intake and instead, do heaven knows what with all the millions still earmarked for them by cities. We have testified, emailed, made calls, and still the shelters don’t intake and if you read your community “Next Door” posts, animals are dumped and found all day long, everywhere. We rescuers do all we can but of course it isn’t nearly enough. That is why we are so grateful for your support. Thank you.

SPECIAL OFFER!!

Free food, treats, toys, supplies and standard vet visits for one year! We love German Shepherd Rescue of Orange County. They have the best dogs but adoptions are slow for everyone this year. Adopt an adult or senior from GSROC and Tails of Joy will provide all you need for one full year. Check out their great dogs!
Thank you to ALL who donated to my Birthday Wish in August.

Thanks to you, and to our WONDERFUL monthly donors (yes, $5 or $10 a month really DOES add up to lives saved) we were able to make Little Guy Grants of over Fifty Thousand Dollars in this period. Some rescue organizations on this list received more than one grant in this period, some were needy individuals needing pet food or vet bills covered. We sent food, treats, toys, pet supplies to people’s homes who were in need, and we paid vets directly for the bills of people in need.

As always, we rescue the rescuers. Some grants were made to rescue organizations needing large sums for animals hit by cars needing surgery. Some were for expensive infrastructure projects. Some were to help take care of the animals waiting for their forever homes. Some were for last minute rescues of animals about to be killed in pounds. Some were to help alleviate hoarding situations.
We’re all volunteer. No salaries, perks, “expenses”, or waste like the big organizations who take most of the rescue money out of the population, then bombard you with endless begging and waste your money on sending you crap from China. And they do so little for actual animals. We independents do SO MUCH with so little. 99.99% of your dollar goes right to rescue.

Here are some of our recipients. We encourage you to check out their websites for all the good work they do, and perhaps donate directly to them as well. Better yet, maybe you can find your new family member there.

We bought infrastructure for Franklin All Animal Rescue Team in Hidalgo County, Texas.

We bought infrastructure supplies for Rescatista Independiente C. Granda in Tijuana:

We continued our support of Independent Rescue partner Maria in Central Mexico with two Little Guy Grants sent to cover vet bills.

Rescuing the Rescuers
We saw on twitter that Justice For Samson, a Texas rescue, announced it was going to have to close. It was drowning in vet bills (all rescue groups drown in vet bills, they all carry a balance of tens of thousands of dollars which they slowly make payments on and constantly add to). JFS’ vet would not let them bring any more animals in for treatment until they paid their outstanding bill. They had no option but to close. All rescued animals start out needing medical care. This was so sad, and Texas cannot afford to lose even one rescue group. So Tails of Joy paid their entire vet bill (and sent food/supplies to them as well). A clean slate, new beginning, and they are now happily continuing to rescue.
We bought winter hay for an independent farm woman in Arizona needing help for her animals for the coming winter. We sent money to a woman living in her car with her dog and cat. We sent money to a

woman who lost her husband and needed help keeping and feeding her dog. We supported five “Go Fund Me” appeals. We paid for several major dog and cat surgeries for individuals. We spent thousands of dollars sending food and supplies all across the country to rescue organizations and individuals.
Some of the Veterinary Offices we Paid
Azusa Animal Hospital. Banfield Animal Hospital. Kinder4Rescue. All Pets Animal Hospital. Tri-County Veterinarian. Aliso Beach Animal Clinic. Wilkinson Vet. Animal Medical Care. Lake Balboa Veterinary Care.
Here are just some of the animals we saved. We don’t post them all because we spare you the really disturbing photos..

Please donate. We can’t do it without you.
