Little Guy Grant to Rescue Unwanted Furry Friends (RUFF), Graceville, FL

From RUFF:

“PLEASE HELP SAVE OUR SHELTER. WE ARE A 501C3 NON-PROFIT NO-KILL SHELTER.

179. This is the number of dogs in our possession before the BP oil spill.

49. This is the number of dogs in our possession after the BP oil spill.

Since 2004 we have saved over 2,200 dogs. Our dog count has severely dropped due in part to the lack of funds after this disaster. In order to keep the doors open, we had to drastically reduce the amount of dogs we take in. While we found homes for over 100 since the oil spill, we would like to provide a shelter for countless others that may find themselves in desperate need of care.”

RUFF Rescue has had to move its shelter to another location due to high utility bills, recent flooding, etc. etc. They are now at at 1003 Hwy 173 Graceville, FL  above Panama City Beach, Florida and below Dothan, Alabama.

From RUFF: “We hope that the people in these large cities will also look at our dogs and possibly offer them a loving home. We make a trip to Fort Walton normally each week and we make special trips if someone wishes to meet one of our dogs for adoption. All of our dogs up for adoption are spayed/neutered, up to date on shots, microchipped and heartworm free. They are all potty trained and loving dogs. Many of them are over the age of 7. They are healthy and happy dogs. The only problem is they need a family and the love from that family for their own.

We still have a Thrift Store called Ruff House Thrift Store at 127 Miracle Strip Parkway in Fort Walton Beach, FL 32440 where the proceeds help us with our vet bills. If we receive nice items to sell, we will make enough to help with the bills. We also accept vehicles (running or not), boats, RV’s and can provide a tax receipt for any of these type items as well.”

Please check out this long time, wonderful rescue organization if you can help in any way. Thank you.
